Hello, I’m Deborah. I’m a qualified counsellor registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I work in Brighton and Hove and across East and West Sussex.

If you have any queries or would like to book a session please get in touch.

How I can help you
I suppose, if you’re looking at this website, it means you’re struggling. Whatever your problem, it can really help to talk to someone who’s specially trained to listen empathically and sensitively. This is where counselling comes in.
These are some issues that I have helped clients with…
Anxiety • depression • bereavement/loss • grief • anger • stress • work • relationships • low self-esteem • low confidence • bullying • family • general unhappiness • personal development • general sense of unease.
My approach
The way I work is by listening, caring and providing a safe, confidential space where you can discuss your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement.
I believe that you already have the resources within yourself to overcome the difficulties you are facing. What I offer is a place to openly explore how you feel in order to find your own answers. My approach is person-centred, meaning that I act as a compassionate facilitator, guiding the therapeutic process without interrupting or interfering with your process of self-discovery.
My aim is to help you emerge with more self belief, self acceptance and resilience.

Locations
I work from private rooms in Hove, and I also offer online sessions via Zoom.
Costs
Individual sessions last for 50 minutes. My standard fee is £50, but I offer a reduced fee of £40 to students and people on low incomes.
Your first session will last for 30 minutes and costs £10. This will give us the opportunity to get to know each other and decide whether we can work well together.
